Who We Are William M West MBA EA CPA William M West serves small business, real estate owners, and individuals, since 1973. He helps minimize taxes, including tax preparation and representation in examination and collection matters. He consults in the areas of technology and computers, and litigation. He acts as part time Chief Financial Officer for small businesses.
William M West received his Masters of Business Administration degree in Finance and statistical modeling from the University of Chicago. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Claremont McKenna College. He was born March 31, 1948 in Los Angeles, California. William M West has been active in the community, as President of North Valley Toastmasters, Secretary of Toastmasters' Golden Gate District 4, and President of the Exchange Club of San Jose. Interests include flying as a flight instructor, gardening, skiing, and scuba-diving. William M West began his current CPA practice in the San Francisco Bay area in 1984. In 1977 Mr, West became Chief Financial Officer of Veedercrest Vineyards, a premium winery and vineyard located in Napa and Emeryville. His family were wine growers and wine makers from 1890 to 1940 in Cucamonga and Burbank, California. In 1971 Mr West became Vice President, Finance, then President of the National Auto Group of Insurance Companies. He was previously a property and casualty underwriter, and a life agent. Mr West negotiated the sale of these family companies to the Kemper Group.

Career Summary: * Engaged in public accounting as an employee from 1950 to 1959 with a large local CPA firm in San Francisco; business manager of a California School District * 1959 to 1961; 1961 opened my own CPA practice in San Jose, California, and continued in public accounting as sole practitioner, partner, or shareholder (1979) until semi-retirement in 1990. * 1990 to 1996 investment management; 1996 reactivated my CPA license; currently an employee of William M West CPA Accountancy Corporation.
